Wood Splitting Contest The wood splitting contest is only for the heartiest of competitors. Contestants compete for prize money, but more importantly bragging rights for a year.  The split wood is then raffled off to a lucky spectator.

Ye Old Pickle Factory “The Pickle” is the town’s municiple liquor store and it’s actually closed on Sundays. Given its name for obvious reasons it’s a great place to toss one back and swap stories with the locals.
